Nice and thick. That's how I like my chili. I loved all the lentils in this. I don't make lentils enough and I need to start making them more!
I don't remember exactly how much broth I used, I think the recipe that I had called for 6 cups but I know I used less. Like I said, I like it thick. :-)
Lentil Chili
1 lb. ground turkey (or a veggie burger if vegetarian)
5 cups chicken broth
2 cups lentils
1/2 can tomato paste
1 can diced tomatoes
1 large onion, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
Total calories = 1620 calories
10 cups = 162 calories
